Chuck executed a kitchen remodel in our new CO house before we moved from TX. It was a complex project that included removing a dividing wall and raising the kitchen ceiling by a foot. Another contractor told us it couldn't be done but Chuck not only figured out how it could be done but also figured out how to make it look like it had always been that way. I've worked with a bunch of contractors over the years and Chuck was by far the best at solving problems, handling details and finishing work to a high standard of craftsmanship. Chuck also took great care to communicate thoroughly and give us a heads up if he was concerned we might not be satisfied with a feature without a bit more planning first. Consequently we were very happy with the finished work, and we really appreciated that Chuck worked overtime to make sure it was finished by our move in date. What was the worst room in the house is now the best. We highly recommend Chuck.Read More

Infinite stars is my rating for Dayhoff Remodeling. Chuck Dayhoff is an extraordinary craftsman and, more important, he is an exceptional human being. In 2022, my husband, who already battled Parkinson’s, took a serious fall and was hospitalized for the next 10 months. It became very clear that I would not be able to care for him in our home - I needed a more appropriate housing situation. Securing a one-level house was the easy part. Remodeling that house into a completely fitted ADA space was the challenge. In January, 2023, I initiated my search-for-a-contractor. I explored websites and read reviews posted on sites such as Houzz. Each review posted about Dayhoff Remodeling was positive - even glowing. I called. From our first meeting, I was impressed by Chuck. He LISTENED to my concerns, hopes, needs, questions, and ideas before he inserted his thoughts. He respected what I had to say and never once discounted my opinions. Instead, Chuck took my visions and moved them to a higher level. I felt as if I were working with Chuck and believed that he truly wanted to manifest what I hoped to have in my new home. When I got stuck with paint, tile, flooring options, Chuck would say, “A comfortable choice (in flooring or tile or paint) might be ___.” I followed most of his leads - and found the outcome “comfortable” indeed. Chuck consistently went above and beyond. Designing the specifics and constructing the ADA bathroom was critical to the ultimate success of the entire remodeling project. Chuck worked directly with my husband on every detail of the bathroom. Chuck made multiple scale drawings showing different placements for the sink, shower, toilet. Chuck took each drawing to the rehab center and showed each to my husband. The two even role-played fixture placement using the bathroom layout at the rehab center. Drawing on his years of experience, Chuck added sensible, practical, and, when executed, beautiful details to every aspect of the project - crafting new drawers in the kitchen and bathroom; also crafting pull-out shelves for the kitchen cabinets; designing and building a sturdy staging platform for the lift installed in the garage; noting that folding closet doors would be preferable to sliding doors; extending the kitchen counter for a usable bar-seating area. Attention to detail influenced each of his work decisions. Chuck is smart, artistic, and skilled - his work is exceptional, and so is he! I trusted him completely. He possesses the highest degree of integrity - it was a high privilege to work with him. At project’s end, Chuck had created a safe and beautiful space for my husband and me. I am truly grateful.Read More

Chuck from Dayhoff Remodeling did an exceptional job resurfacing/staining my kitchen cabinets and upgrading doors and drawers. I can’t say enough about the quality of his workmanship. I have had quite a lot of work done on my home and hands down, Chuck really impressed me with his patience in coming to my home multiple times to answer questions, making suggestions, dropping off samples, and just making my hum drum kitchen look absolutely amazing! I couldn’t be more pleased with how the cabinets turned out! I have had so many compliments from my friends and neighbors regarding my upgraded kitchen. I highly recommend Chuck if you are looking to upgrade your kitchen without spending the high cost of new cabinets.Read More

Chuck from Dayhoff Remodeling did an amazing job creating a custom closet for us! His attention to detail started with the planning process including such items as species of wood, stain color as well as size, design and features in addition to the overall style. His customer service is top notch and he is a true craftsman who can do anything with wood. The final results are suitable for the highest end homes and clients who are looking for a level of custom closet that goes far beyond what can be found with "closet systems" at places like IKEA or The Container Store. Chuck did an amazing job with our first floor remodel. We remodeled our entire kitchen - new cabinets, countertops, some HVAC, and electric - and installed new hardwood floors and baseboards. The subcontractors he used were wonderful - jobs were done on time and the craftsmanship was first rate. Chuck was easy to work with and he keep us on budget / on schedule. The renovation was very planned out. No dead time in between phases. That was hard to do in the middle of COVID. At the end of each day, he always cleaned up, so there wasn't a lot of dust or mess. We really enjoyed working with him and would highly recommend him.Read More

Chuck helped us remodel our basement. The project included adding large format tile and hardwood laminate floors, installing a exerior door, adding custom interior doors, retreading a staircase, fixing drywall, intsallation of lights, triming out the whole space, and the additon of a fireplace surround and custom mantle. Chuck is a master craftsman and was able to add custom touches that send the space above and beyond. His attention to detail and ability to consult on the best solution for long-term durablity but asethic is top notch. If you are looking for a contractor who cares about their end product, doing the work in the RIGHT way, and creating a lasting solution he is for you. We are for sure hiring Dayoff Remodeling for additional projects in our house...and already have. In addition to his work product, he and his crew are respectful of the space they are working in and the people he is around. He cleans up after every day and ensures that the work spaces are safe for pets, kids, and adults as the project is underway.Read More

Chuck remodeled our Kitchen. He was very good at discussing our ideas and helping us get the designs we wanted. He had great suggestions for things we had not thought of and the end product was fantastic. He was always prompt and considerate of our time. He put up barriers to keep the dust contained to the kitchen and always cleaned up at the end of each day. Chuck was referred to us by two of our friends who had used him in the past. We highly recommend Chuck for any remodeling projects you may be considering.Read More

Chuck built custom storage cabinets with slide-out shelves on the bottom and adjustable shelves in the uppers. They look great and he made sure they were sized to hold the largest items we wanted to store in them. He also matched the paint to the wall trim as we wanted so it all has a wonderful built-in look because it is in our basement kitchenette area and we wanted it to look nice. He also installed floating shelves and recommended we choose a nice Formica countertop to keep costs down. It’s all functional and came out great - we are very pleased with our new storage area!Read More

My wife and I are exceedingly happy with the Mission style aquarium stand Chuck built for us after we discovered that the one that came with the tank was not only ugly, but unusable because of mass produced inaccuracies, and poor choice of material. In addition to that our home’s living room floor posed a further challenge because it was significantly more off from level than I had imagined. Chuck saved the day, and after thorough consultation with us created a one of a kind custom solution that not only takes care of all the requirements but is also aesthetically pleasing and blends in with the rest of our rustic furniture as if it came from the same source. He designed a Mission style piece made of white oak with slate inlays, an internal steel frame resting on eight leveling feet that guarantee even distribution of the enormous weight of water and contents, doors that open 170 degrees and can be taken off and reinstalled with a simple click and outfitted with a soft close mechanism so the fish won’t get startled, all with a height to accommodate my CO2 cylinders and regulator for my plant fertilization system. Chuck made sure he understood not just all the requirements and needs but our aesthetic preferences, and existing conditions as well, consulting with us regarding decisions not just before but along the way, exceeding our hopes and expectations with a one of a kind custom heirloom creation that will remain a focal point in our living room for us and visitors to enjoy equally. We highly recommend Chuck to anyone looking for a quality custom solution to a unique design problem. Chuck is very professional, a pleasure to deal with, and very conscientious and detail oriented, guaranteed to leave you not just with a job finished but well done and something you will be proud of and cherish.Read More
